Let $x$ grams of jaggery be added.

After adding jaggery:

Total jaggery $= 150 + x$ grams
Total syrup $= 500 + x$ grams

$\dfrac{150 + x}{500 + x} = \dfrac{1}{2}$

$2(150 + x) = 500 + x$

$300 + 2x = 500 + x$
