Match List - I with List - II.

Given that Σp0q0=150\Sigma p_0 q_0 = 150, Σp0q1=80\Sigma p_0 q_1 = 80, Σp1q0=240\Sigma p_1 q_0 = 240, Σp1q1=200\Sigma p_1 q_1 = 200.

List - IList - II
(A) Laspeyre's index(I) 160
(B) Paasche's index(II) 200
(C) Fesher's index(III) 205
(D) Dorbish and Bowley's(IV) 250

Choose the correct answer from the options given below :

Solution

✅ Correct Option: 3

Laspeyre's =Σp1q0Σp0q0×100=240150×100=160= \frac{\Sigma p_1 q_0}{\Sigma p_0 q_0} \times 100 = \frac{240}{150} \times 100 = 160 (I).

Paasche's =Σp1q1Σp0q1×100=20080×100=250= \frac{\Sigma p_1 q_1}{\Sigma p_0 q_1} \times 100 = \frac{200}{80} \times 100 = 250 (IV).

Fisher's =160×250=200= \sqrt{160 \times 250} = 200 (II).

Dorbish-Bowley =160+2502=205= \frac{160 + 250}{2} = 205 (III).
