Six lions L1, L2, L3, L4, L5, and L6 are placed in a row facing towards north (not necessarily in the same order). Two lions are placed between L1 and L5. L3 is placed second to the right of L6. L2 is placed second to the right of L1. L5 is towards the left of L1. Which of the following lion represents the lion to the immediate right of L6?

Solution

✅ Correct Option: 1

Number the seats 1 to 6 from left to right. With two lions between L5 and L1 and L5 on the left, the options are L5-L1 at (1,4), (2,5) or (3,6).

L2 sits two places right of L1, which is only possible if L1 is at 4 and L2 at 6, so L5 is at 1.

L3 two places right of L6 then forces L6 at 3 and L3 at 5, leaving L4 at 2.

Order: L5, L4, L6, L1, L3, L2. Immediately right of L6 is L1.
