Solution

Correct Option: 3

For brand A:

Initial contribution = 45%45\%

Increase = 50%50\% of 45%45\% = 50100×45%\frac{50}{100} × 45\% = 22.5%22.5\%

For brand E:

Initial contribution = 22%22\%

Increase = 10%10\% of 22%22\% = 10100×22%\frac{10}{100} × 22\% = 2.2%2.2\%

Total increase = 22.5%+2.2%22.5\% + 2.2\% = 24.7%24.7\%

Therefore, the total sales grew by 24.7%24.7\% in 2006 as compared to 2005.
