A shopkeeper marks up the worth of his product by 60%. If he increases the discount from 15% to 20%, his profit will be decreased by ₹32. How much profit/loss would he get, if he offered a 25% discount on the marked price?

Solution

✅ Correct Option: 3

Take CP =100= 100, so MP =160= 160.

At 15% discount, SP =136= 136 and profit =36= 36. At 20% discount, SP =128= 128 and profit =28= 28. The fall is 88 units, which equals ₹32, so 11 unit == ₹4 and CP == ₹400.

At 25% discount, SP =120= 120 units, profit =20= 20 units =20×4== 20 \times 4 = ₹80.
