The average weight of A, B and C is 60 kg. If the average weight of B and C is 50 kg and that of A and B is 53 kg, then what is the weight of B ?

Solution

Correct Option: 1

A + B + C = 3 x 60 = 180 kg.

B + C = 2 x 50 = 100 kg, so A = 180 - 100 = 80 kg.

A + B = 2 x 53 = 106 kg, so B = 106 - 80 = 26 kg.
