A, B and C started a business by investing Rs. 40,000, Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 60,000 respectively. After 8 months B withdrew Rs. 10,000. After one more month C withdrew Rs. 40,000. Find the ratio in which profit earned at the end of the year will be distributed.

Solution

Correct Option: 3

Calculate capital x months for each:

A: 40000 x 12 = 480000.

B: 50000 x 8 + 40000 x 4 = 400000 + 160000 = 560000.

C: 60000 x 9 + 20000 x 3 = 540000 + 60000 = 600000.

Ratio = 480 : 560 : 600 = 12 : 14 : 15.
