I have been struggling with VARC for a quite long time now. I have attempted a number of sectionals for VA . Here are the problems I face.
(Have been reading essays, learning vocab, solving RCs)

But aren't you good at VA?
Also, if RC is taking around 8 minutes, are you able to finish the test on time?
"But aren't you good at VA?"
What made you say so?....Actually I am not.....no, I am not able to complete it...most of the times i tend to stop the time during sectionals :(
Also since incorrect words are interchanged with conversation analysis , that is going to consume almost double the time it takes now.
Oh. I'm not Bhavesh bhaiya or someone too good at VA (I suck at it, infact), the only advice I can give is, be a fast reader. Not just for the sake of it, but try to understand it. Don't re read the passage! If you are re-reading, that usually means that you are not focused. Let go of the questions if you aren't able to answer. Get back to them if you have time left after attempting all questions. I'm a fast reader and I usually finish my test with 10-15 minutes left.
Also, I noticed that, when I'm sleepy or not focused, I usually score low and tend to re read the passage. So, I started having coffee before attempting daily RC and sectionals (sounds funny, ik, but helped me a lot). Trust me, my reading skills improved and could also focus better.
Don't be demotivated, try to do some minor changes and work around in your way (just like how I did with the coffee thingy). All the best ;)
I actually don't know how to speed up :/. If I do so i will have to compromise with scores.

You'll not become fast in a month or two, it's continuous and constant exposure that makes you quicker. There's no steroids equivalent which I'd recommend for this.
okay :(
Based on the comment in the link shared, what would you pinpoint as the cause?
I read the passage in around 4min and then solve the ques . Approximately 15 min or less are left for me to attempt 2 RCs
