Hi everyone,
I’ve just completed my Class 10 board exams and will be entering Class 11 soon (Commerce + Mathematics). I’m planning to start my preparation early for IPMAT 2028, as I believe beginning from 11th can give a strong advantage in building concepts and consistency.
I wanted to ask for some guidance regarding the following:
I’m aiming for top institutes like IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak, so I want to build a strong base from the beginning itself.
Any tips, resources, or personal experiences would be really helpful!
Thanks in advance :)

If u wanna enroll in an offline coaching center, i advise u to join IMS. But before joining, ask your seniors in ur school abt it. If ur living in a metro city like Mumbai, Ahmedabad, etc, the IMS centers will have very good teachers.

AfterBoards will launch its 2028 plan in May 2026. The two-year self-paced course will keep you busy.
It doesn't matter what you focus on first (QA/VA). You need to focus more on what you feel weak in (the best way to find this out is if you write a mock test -- treat it as a diagnostic mock).

Thank you!
Thank you so much for the quick response, I really appreciate it!
This was very helpful, especially the idea of taking a diagnostic mock early and focusing on weak areas. I’ll definitely go through the guide and FAQs you shared.
Also glad to know about the 2028 plan launching in May, that gives me a clear direction going forward.
Thanks again for taking the time to help :)
Anytime! Don't worry about scoring low in the diagnostic mock -- it's just like how a doctor checks your fever even before you've taken medicine!
