Need help in quants

I just did analysis of my iimb sample paper and previous indore mocks and i noticed that i am wasting a ton o ftime on unanswered questions,i still get a decent enough score in qa but in less time, for example in this sample paper out of 60 mins i wasted almost 28 mins on unanswered questions, which almost half the time.I have tried the question selection method of A,B,C type but it doesnt work effectively for me.Any other way???

Explain why. Let's come to the root cause of the issue. Are you unable to gauge the question properly or is gauging it taking away too much time?

Its more like i do the question and mid way i realise that from this part i dont know how to go ahead or rather the method which i thought would work is not working worst case i get the answer which does not match with the options at all after having a spent long time on the question. Also there is also this fear while viewing the questions and doing the ABC approach that What if i spend too much time in this? What if i grade the questions wrong?

And one more thing, thank you so much for personally helping with everything. I know a bit late to say thanks after everything you have already done.Hats off to you man.

How many seconds would you consider it to be mid-way? One trick that we recommend students follow is to leave the question after 30-40 seconds if they are not confident about it.

Plus, it is completely normal to be afraid of the initial 3-3.5 minutes invested in finding the questions. However, it is something that will save 10 minutes later on and give you all the easy questions that you can easily get right!

Thank you for your kind words!

Hi,today i tried the technique in a mock,i classified the questions in the begining and after that i did not explicitly write them as A or B or C,i just started solving the ones i felt could be done that instant and later, when time was left,I went to the ones which required more time .There was a drastic increase the score, around 20 marks. It really helped a lot.

Exactly! This is what I used to do too by the time I was writing the exam.

Today i gave the afb iimb mock and got the really bad scores in VA(which was surpirsing) and LR,however there was a decent increase in the quants score. Can you give me tips regarding how to prepare at the last moment cause my score from yesterday's mock and todays are way different(major difference in va and LR), so i dont really know what to do now amid all of the pressure.I am puzzled.

Also, note that absolute numbers can't be compared if the difficulty is different. We've shared our analysis is shared here: https://www.afterboards.in/forums/general/info/Pd107v_mock_analysis_iimbangalore_ugat

LR was low-scoring.
