The answer is given option C i.e2 but if we put the value of p equals to 2 then we get the answer 1.5 which is less than 2 the correct answer must be it depends upon the value ofp is my thinking correct or not

the problem is typed in an ambiguous manner, they meant to say p + 1/p and not (p+1)/p
if the prob is indeed p+1/p then it cant be less than 2 because
AM. >= GM ( for positive numbers )
(p + 1/p )/2 >= p * 1/p
p+1/p >= 2
hence min value = 2.
if the prob was (p+1)/p then the ans would have been 1
because we can write the above expression as 1+1/p, given p is a positive number it can go up to infinity and 1/ infinity = 0
therefore , 1
