since indore had an in built calculator i was easily able to solve all DI questions, but in jipmat we have to divide by hand and to approximate all possible answers is very time taking. please if anyone has any suggestions i would be grateful!!

Honestly, for IPMAT/JIPMAT DI, you should stop trying to calculate everything exactly like school math. The exam is usually testing:
The biggest skill is learning when NOT to calculate fully.
A few things that genuinely help:
etc.
This alone saves huge time.
Also practice approximation aggressively:
Instead of:
487 ÷ 19
think:
500 ÷ 20 ≈ 25
Most DI options are spaced far enough for this to work.
Another huge thing:
before solving, scan the options first.
Many times you can eliminate 2–3 choices immediately without full calculation.
For percentages:
try converting everything mentally into:
Example:
49% of 198
≈ 50% of 200
≈ 100
instead of multiplying properly.
