Students with all-access can view this page (has all their defined word).
However, we find the UI to be a little cluttered and we want user feedback on how the experience of this page can be made better! Feel free to share your suggestions!

please make a test for daily minimum words to be learned by writing them like.. if a word is added in the list it should be displayed and then we have to write the meaning of it and if its correct its placed in learnt column . Eg minimum 20 words to be learnt this way per day to earn few oranges as well. It would create consistency. same thing for phrasal verbs. also add unlimited tests for parajumbles, phrasal verbs etc like for all varc portion, just the practice tests are not enough. Its a request 🙏
Makes sense. This is something that we want to do in the future (long-term plan). Right now, looking at how we can make this page (vocabulary list) better!
(1) Some sort of dropdown menu can be created. Either letter wise, category wise or anything else.
(2) A visual hierarchy (to be marked by the student) can be added such as easy, medium and tough. Furthermore, since the meanings are given, the student can be given the option to make categories and sub categories in which they'll arrange it on their own based on the meaning of the word. (timely? yes. But I think doing it on their own will personalise it for the student)
(3) You can change the order in which you view the words but this isn't applicable in flashcards. It's always in the same order. What I've noticed is that over time I memorize the initial words much more/better than those in the end. A simple solution could be a shuffle mode.
(4) I like to add vocabulary by the letter, thus, I would personally love a feature where I could use flashcards of just that particular letter.
(5) (not sure about this one) I have over 500 words in my word list, but, I just opened it and I could barely see like 50. I'm assuming that the remaining words aren't being shown since they're in the "spaced repetition cycle". If so, then I believe it should be removed as well.
(6) Not exactly related to vocabulary but I think there can be a free essay writing space(maybe one topic per day given by AI. Or maybe even just write anything you want and AI can review it. Whatever seems fit.) where the student can write essays and incorporate newly learned vocabulary. This will help in improving/memorising words, help with not just grammar but with flow, tone and storytelling which is obviously essential for essays which are to be written in application forms. Yes, the RC's summary is there but once again, you can only write what's already written which is very different from articulating your own thoughts.
Thanks for the very detailed list of suggestions!
For categories, there could be various things. I believe it should be upto the student how to make it, like the balti system. As the end user, i'd make something like (a) confusing/similar words (b) knew the word but not the meaning (c) new word (d) knew but couldn't recall. Another option could be reviewed and to be reviewed (doesn't make that much sense for vocabulary but this is just an example). Another interesting thing could be to make to make flashcards of that particular "balti" so that you can revise just one category at once.
For my 5th point, it's fixed now. I think it must have been a bug or something.
Please give an option to change the order in which you view the words in flashcards. It's always in the same order. What I've noticed is that over time I memorize the initial words much more/better than those in the end. A simple solution could be a shuffle mode.
+1
Hey this isnt exactly a suggestion to improve the word list page but I was wondering if we could have the flashcards reversed, as in the meaning is the question and the answer is the word because ive noticed sometimes until the word comes up the meaning doesnt so Im not using all the words ive learnt in daily context or conversations just some that stick.
Interesting! We can make this a toggle.
You can add a daily test option for VA vocabulary and idioms etc which is a MCQ based test (The option could contain synonyms and antonyms for extra difficulty and learning) like how the Daily RC tool is super helpful I think it will encourage more students to learn by gamifing vocabulary
could we have different baltis so we can categorise the words (feeling, action, etc)
also there is this test thing on quizlet which i find really helpful i know it could be a lot to ask for but it could definitely help

could we have different baltis so we can categorise the words (feeling, action, etc)
manually tagging the words by the student?
yes
like we double click(it defines it) and then it asks us which balti
Do you think some students would get annoyed at it being a little intrusive?
well that could happen too
some sort of a thing where the words are automatically defined in differnet baltis instead of manually doing it .
for example keeping all the words like garruluous , loqacious , taciturn in a balti/section named as "words related to speech" sort of thing. but automatically, not manually
The problem is that there are SO many such categories which could come, it becomes more unorganised after that, ahha!
pronounciation of that particular word along its with definition, synonym and sentence usage.
Makes sense, sounds valid. Thank you! This could just be feasible!
Daily parajumbles, please
Not something that we can do at the moment. We will defo look into this later!
I don't think this page needs to be changed, although I believe a tool to listen to the word pronunciations would be a useful addition

it is better if we can right extra thing on the flashcard for more personalised learning so that we can add extra elements like antonyms, better examples or definitions, etc..
Id love to have the ability to change the amount of words you can see per page. Right now I think you can see about 20-25 words per page? Its a fairly trivial thing but id like to have the option to change that to 50, 75 or even 100.
A slider would be helpful
Isn't it good to add antonyms too
interesting, never really thought of it.
another cool feature would be to filter/categorise based on objectives
y'all could add a section where users type in their understanding of the meaning and show have a synonym drop down menu
having the words arranged alphabetically would be very helpful
5-10 word quizzes where meanings and words are shuffled based on how frequently we search the same word/whether we remember it based on the flashcards..
Word list helps me a lot but if I could have kept my all words categorised as synonym or similar words (as out of my almost 300 words in my wordlist , many do have similar meanings)
Some categories likes
Easy
Moderate
Difficult
Learnt , not learnt
Similar meaning words
It would help me a lot to just rely on afterboards rather than any other platform.
Custom flashcards quizzes could be better like the current model gives all the words as falshcards but a custom flashcard setter in the multiple of suppose 5 for daily practice can be more student friendly in my perspective.
Hey! I would love it if some visual elements could also be added for the words, since I'm a visual learner (in the VARK assessment), I remember things much better when I associate them with an image. So, say for morose, there could be a sad kid in a boring class, for demagogue, we have a grumpy old politician, etc. I know that's a challenging task for such a vast vocabulary, so I understand if it can't be delivered, but just a thought! Secondly, I would love it if phrasal verbs could also be added to these lists! Thanks for reading!
is this picture taken from my account?
lmaooooooooo
I don’t know if this is possible, but adding the pronunciation of words would help a lot. Sometimes I have to Google the correct pronunciation, which takes extra time. So, I’d like to suggest adding a built in pronunciation feature..
I think this is just perfect.
But a list of all words should be there as their is for idioms and we can add words which we don't know abt into word list. While reading an rc there should be an option to add that word into the word list
i think you could add a menu for different types of grid views along with the default 4x5.
sorta like this
add a multilist option, so that I can use different for different purposes.
Like tagging/bookmarking a word?
like the one we have for doubts , different balties for more sorting (tagging more or less). I might like to make a different category for the more complex ones that requires more revision .
Phrasal verbs could be allowed to add as well.
If we allow the option to define an extract of a sentence containing multiple words (instead of only 1 word right now), the LLM can hallucinate. It wouldn't know the exact meaning in which the phrasal verb was used (same thing has multiple meanings in a more obvious way). Hence, this is a technical limitation.
From understanding how to use the platform to the fullest... to asking queries about the features and more!

I think short quizzes after say 10 flashcards could help to reinforce what you've learned. These could include 2–3 quick easy questions like multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, matching (word with definition / synonym) generated randomly from the defined words. This breaks the monotony of standard flashcard flipping.
i vouch for this
