If perimeter of a rhombus is 104 cm and length of one of its diagonals is 48 cm, then area of the rhombus (in cm2^2) is :

Solution

Correct Option: 3

Side = 104/4=26104/4=26 cm. Half of given diagonal = 24. Other half-diagonal = 262242=676576=100=10\sqrt{26^2-24^2}=\sqrt{676-576}=\sqrt{100}=10, so other diagonal = 20. Area = 12×48×20=480\frac{1}{2}\times 48\times 20=480 cm2^2.
