I’ve observed that RCs on topics I’m not interested in are the ones where I score very low and take a lot of time to solve. For example, passages on politics completely go over my head, and sometimes the same happens with specific science topics. Since I don’t get a choice in the main exam, I need to overcome this. Any suggestions?

Very relatable! You're going to always read passages of the genre you're comfortable with a lot faster. If I see a passage on 'tech', I can read and comprehend it better than a densely-packed passage on 'history.'
The most effective solution is to start reading a lot more of that genre (will be annoying in the beginning), however, sit with that (along with LLMs) such that you're able to understand what every line of the passage is stating!

Not sure what "climate diplomacy" is? ask ChatGPT: https://chatgpt.com/share/69037735-c84c-8012-bf00-749bb78c083b
Similarly, you can for "global emissions", "zero inflection", and all these keywords! This is very similar to you making sure that you know exactly what each line means!
I hope this helped!
