oof, don't worry too much. once, i got negative marks in my CAT VARC sectional, AHAH.
overthink mat kartna — go through the passage once more, chalk it up to a bad experience, ek idea lelo ki what perhaps went wrong though.
112 marks is good; the thumb rule would give: (4 × 17) + (2.5 × 15) + (2 × 13) = 131.
So, perhaps 4-5 more questions to be in the "good score zone", cutoffs prolly paar horaha hoga.

Went through 4000 VA sectional attempts, did thodu sa stats.
It is: (4 × no. of easy questions) + (2.5 × no. of medium questions) + (2 × no. of hard questions).

I am not able to recollect the exact number but it was in the 80s (the percentile).
So how's that a good score if ur to be in the top 1 percentile to get in
Because if you tried to add sectional cutoff at 99%ile for each of it, you'll prolly have students only in single-digits. ~800 students get selected for interview. People have gotten into IIM Indore while being in the borderline VA cutoff (but high QA scores) and vice-versa.
Plus, no one is asking you to settle with just 1-3 bins to the right of the peak, acche se 3-6 bins to the right karlo.
You don't have to be in top 1 percentile to get in per se. General candidates have gotten in with 195 marks. They have been rejected at 260 marks. Interview (35%) also plays a huge role.
