The passage hit home for many girls who might be carrying their phone, some cash, a card, a coffee cup, and a book... all at once, in their hands, lol.
This passage focused a lot on you being able to stick to the facts of the passage.
If we look at Q3, many might be confused between option 1 and 3.

So, people might be very quick to make assumptions from their existing knowledge: "oh, this author is talking about women's problems, ergo he is a hardcore feminist" and then perhaps choose option 1 (intentional neglect) because that makes the most sense based on tone.
Has there been intentional neglect? Yes! One can say that the purse industry wanted to sell more, hence, no pockets in women's clothing. HOWEVER, this is your extra knowledge, the passage does NOT mention this. Keep this contrast in mind while solving the RCs.
The passage emphasized the unconscious nature of these decisions ("nobody thought to update the equation when the workforce changed.") That suggests the original temperature standards weren't set thinking "let's make women uncomfortable"; rather, they were set using the only data point anyone considered relevant at the time (1960s businessmen).
I hope this was a smart learning outcome.
Let's look at Q6 (the question with the least accuracy), again option 1 and 3 battle it out:
Looking at "unwelcome necessity"... does the passage actually frame the claw grip itself as unwelcome? The author calls it:
The circumstances that created the need were unwelcome (systematic neglect), but the passage seems to celebrate the actual innovation. The claw grip has become something women are skilled at, something that "works," something that demonstrates human ingenuity.
So... maybe, option 1 reduces the relationship to: bad system → unwanted response.
But the passage suggests something more like: bad system → creative human adaptation → innovation that actually works better than official solutions might have.

one of the quickest passages I’ve done and i was happy with my 7 minutes till I saw people finishing in 4 💀😭
The passage was very interesting. First time that a RC was able to keep me engaged till the end.I'd love to solve more such passages!!!
oh wow, 4 minutes is bonkers! you should give tips, ahah!
tipss?
idk about any tip maybe make reading a habit ig? I was a bookworm as a kid and that is helping me now......
This passage was the most fun to read and it was relatable as well lol!
well..i have no idea how to upload the pic. I scored 19 marks and it took me 5 mins.
I realize now that I made a mistake with the second one. I saw "predatory behavior" in the passage, and it was also listed as an option. Without really thinking it through, I chose that option, which turned out to be incorrect.
19/24 in 7 min, got the last question wrong :(
omg i love your user name! haha i say that to myself 10 times a day
Last one was confusing!
Bro WTF 2 mins, chatgpt aap yaha /s. Gib some tips
sahi mai itni jaldi wow!!!
I've noticed that many people who've been born and brought up with English literature read EXTREMELY quickly. I personally took 2m 43s to complete this passage but got 1 wrong (the last one). In exam, when you're more serious, the time taken increases.
Second that.
2 min is basically the same as 4-5 min in terms of the exam. You have 40 mins, and it's not like Rohtak or JIPMAT where you can quickly body the English section and use the extra time for meth math.
you did the 5 questions(excl 1st one) in 22secs??? how are u doing them so fast
it feels illegal to do that fast. plz share your strategy how you did it. you seems to be a verbal monster, Ha?
I was also surprised with how much less time i took but i have been reading novels since 6th grade so ig all thanks to that...
Feel free to share your marks and time taken too!
got the easiest questions wrong because of thinking out of the box and adding extra information on my own
Good realisation! Keep this in check in future passages!

How do I respond in exam when the passage they gave, options they gave, answers they gave are clashing with my existing knowledge.
I am unable to function and not able to just think in the boundary of the passage! Like it's not correct to test sensitive topics in an exam.
what was it exactly that you found clashing with your existing knowledge?
One of them is option 1 for the 6th question.
Yep, like we mentioned:
Option 1 reduces the relationship to: bad system → unwanted response. But the passage suggests something more like: bad system → creative human adaptation → innovation that actually works better than official solutions might have.

I try

I got my second question wrong because I misread 'efficient' as 'inefficient' :(
ig i would have goten the 6th one right if i gave more time
Really need to work on my time

If your accuracy is this good, then 8 mins is pretty sorted only! With time + practice, you'll shave 1-3 mins.
