I’m giving VA sectionals and RCs regularly, reading Aeon essays daily, completed WPME, and now doing Blackbook with consistency. But still I’m not getting marks in VA. Should I stop giving VA sectionals daily and shift to mocks instead?
one more thing is that i used to score 40-60 on an average..
i have aceipm with afterboards

Damn... Salute to your patience and resilience, it must be hard to bear this but keep going and analyze sectionals thoroughly, Do RCs, and develop thought process.
okay thank you

What matters the most in Verbal Ability:
10% = Your theory (grammar, vocabulary, idioms/phrasal verbs)
10% = You solving questions (and learning from the solutions)
80% = Contrasting your thought process and recognising why your inference/extrapolation or the crux of what you deciphered does NOT match what the author is trying to say: half of IPMAT is just comprehension-based understanding... and for that you need to follow the 5-why analysis consistently for a couple of months.
If you do not do the 5-why analysis, do not write summaries of the Daily RCs, do not try to learn such that you treat English as a language (think/talk/text/type in English), you won't score higher.
Don't try to learn VA the same way as learning QA.
okay let's see
Can you confirm this for me:
Doing the RC without putting in this uncomfortable effort is akin to going to a gym but not having a good diet, I hope this makes sense. Pause VA sectionals for now. Do the remaining 90% first.
okay
Did you do the summary in today's RC?
yes i do.
how much time we should give to read the rc and to solve the questions
and one more thing is that i eliminate two options then from the remaining two options i always select the wrong one
Benchmark the time based on the median (it should be lower than that preferably).
If you're always getting the answer wrong from the remaining two options? just start choosing the other option and confirm if this is an exageration or if this is holding true.
You need to do the 5-why analysis to sort this out. May I know the reluctance in doing the same?
Nice of you to come back a day after to check up on him lol
as someone who's shit at VARC and as someone who has been doing the summaries since the past 3-4 days(thank you Bhavesh bhaiya for advocating about this in the group). Yes it is a pain. But theres this level of depth and knowledge that you gain(and small but important details that you may miss out on). WHICH IS ACTUALLY RELEVANT to todays day and age is just amazing. And now a part of me is doing daily rc's becuase theres always that, "ohh what will I learn about in today's rc?".
You may think that my english is decent enough, and that I'm exaggerating. But trust me my varc is shite
