Collection of 1500 Idioms & Phrases: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1b0dQHkuUzwSL7e1IcAxXW10CKcCuLXhZ/view?usp=sharing
Many of you already have this, but this is for the others who were asking for 'Idioms lists'. Idk who was the creator of this, but this was one material that was floating around in DMs and more or less gatekept from the public domain. If you are a person not very familiar with English, this can be a game saver for this particular topic in VA. I had once scrolled through half of it (it was a week before the real exam) found it quite amusing to say the least but also began to notice many mock questions having idioms from these.
But keep in mind, having access to this is like having access to a dictionary (but of Idioms) - if you plan to memorize a dictionary you can't do it in a week. You will require a 3-4 Months to internalize these organically in the most scientific way (read the comments under this: https://www.afterboards.in/forums/general/off-topic/Dqgx3h_how_to_use_this_feature_properly). Aim to internalize 20 idioms per day like this.
Coming to the most gatekept resource when it comes to VA - ironically, ChatGPT. It's free for all yet so very few people seem to understand the power it has, and I think this is because the few ppl who know how to manipulate it and extract stuff from it do not teach others how to do the same for their own motivations. Sadly most of you see this as a tool for cheating in schoolwork or even mocks, please try to get it to teach you stuff once in a while too. Most of you have tried it once or twice, given extremely lazy simple prompts and stopped using it after getting very easy questions that don't help u in ur prep.
Use cases:
2. You have a good collection of words stored in your AB Word List, the difficulty and rarity of which shows your proficiency with the english language (you encounter and store high level vocab only if you understand all easier ones and is exposed to high quality english), you want personalized practice for this now:

3. (the SS above) You have sorted everything from QA to VA but are struggling with the final boss worth 20 marks - PJs - and want to attempt to beat it thoroughly before D-Day.
You can implement this for QA - just don't ask it to generate qs out of the air without setting any standards - attach a PDF, or atleast a snapshot of a particular type of problem you got wrong in your mock, but have read the explanation and understood and you want to be able to solve one such by yourself now.

Bhaiya as most of the questions are repeating so from here I should ask gpt to generate 5 qns of the similar type which I got wrong in a mock or if it was "tukka" then ask gpt to generate nd do the same
Same for the sectional and same for DILR
Any specific prompts you'd recommend for each topic(namely PJs, paracompletions and sentence correction) or is that something I'll have to figure out on my own? :|
I see that you've attached the prompt for PJs and vocab. Similarly, it would be great if you could share some prompts for the other topics. Or can I just use AI to generate a prompt for AI :P
Let's say I have to train the AI on specific topics so that it keeps the questions/roadmap in accordance with the syllabus/tested topics and doesn't wander off. How exactly do I feed it the data? Do i just take screenshots of the questions I've gotten wrong or is there any other way to do it?
Yes feeding ss of 4-5 qs u have gotten wrong is the easiest way to train. As for prompts it's a really simple thing, pretend u r giving instructions to a really stupid employee u will have to repeat keywords multiple times and define exactly what u want.
did you give cuet?
if no, why not?
and what all colleges you cleared other than indore?
I was from an international board, totally different from CBSE syllabus and I wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to never open ncert in this life.
Still, I took cuet english & gat only to see the level of competition here, scored 99.9 and 99.8
I had applied to Indore Ranchi bg jammu amritsar rohtak (not shillong since ipmat interviews were out by then plus I don't like writing cringy ahh essays abt my elevated purpose in life and 'that one moment' where suddenly a boatload of clarity hit me and some inner voice called me towards IPM and stuff like that).
I cleared all these in first gen list except rohtak for which I skipped interview cuz too far
matlab yeh confidence kaha se aata hai, ki apply hi nahi karna shillong me?
and you were general, right? toh matlab aur bhi darr hona chahiye thhoda sa kikahi nahi hua toh?
Jabtak khula tha uske liye we were almost done with all the rest scores bhi out the toh laga ki kuchh na kuchh toh hojayega
my scores are varying mostly its in the range of 120 ish in the sectionals, sometimes 130 ish.
but in mocks its not increasing
mocks men i score 80-90.
but mocks also have like 12-15 hard questions in VA, while the actual exam on avg has only 5
and what i have realised is that my VA score in sectionals is also varied becuase in some sectionals even though the questions were hard, i just knew the meaning of those words but sometimes in easy questions also, i dont know the meaning
how can i touch 120 in mocks?
U have to spam sectionals, and use this GPT thing
okay
