Why is option 3 the answer? If I ignore the "perfectly" for now because of which option 1 is extreme, I think it's the perfect answer. In the passage, it was only stated that opportunities own you and should be let go of of them if they don't align with your values. Here according to me the flow is, you first get opportunities and then they don't align with your values thus you reject them. However, I feel that option 3 is the exact opposite. It was never mentioned that values "guide" towards opportunities.

So Dr. K has two points in general- one which says that "your values" should guide you that which opportunity you should opt and second that while being or having the opportunity to be in that opportunity, if you feel that it ain't aligning in some way(not perfectly) with your values then you should leave that opportunity! So even though both the points are mentioned in the options it's you who have to decide that which option fits his views most suitably which in this case is option 3 more than 1 !!! Hope you get it now mate! :)
where did he mention about values "guiding" though? that's my point. I agree with the latter point.
No he didn't explicitly mentioned about values "guiding" but i am talking about his overall view in general that what he truly intends and meant when he says about the alignment thing. In short when in the passage he spoke about the "core rule he adopted" he meant that if you are aligned with your values then those "alignment of values" would guide you for the correct opportunities and if it doesn't align then you should giveup on that opportunity! Hope you got it now fella :)
Well, that does make sense. It was about inferring the message I presume. I rejected option 3 because it wasn't explicitly mentioned. Anyways, thanks 👍
