Weekly IPMAT Mock | Mock 10
1. SA:- 32/60, one bin to the right of peak. The section was pretty easy, but I still managed to make 2 silly errors. I did learn to solve a few more types of question after an analysis.
- MCQ:- 50/120, two bin to the right of peak. Got one question incorrect, it was a genuine error. The absolute marks is good, but it could definitely have been better esspecially if I had done a better question picking. After I had done plenty of question I decided to spend 8 minutes to solve a question, I had encountered a similar question before that's why. It was very silly mistake from my part even though I ended up getting it correct I was only 50-50 because I wasn't sure if I had made any mistake. I could've definitely invested this time on qn 4, 6, 10, 15 these were very solvable in retrospect. I skipped the DI part because I had many questions in "A" category and also because the DI looked lengthy, it was a good call.
- VA:- 112/180, two bin to the right of the peak. The first RC was of the easier ones and the second RC was the toughest I've faced in a mock (Not including daily RC, yesterday's RC still gives me trauma). I was wise as to not attempt all the questions of second RC, ended up scoring 11 of 24 which is fine because it could have been worse. Sentence completion had a mix of hard and easy, got 4 correct and skipped 3. I was lot more cautious with the question because I was not sure of my performance in 2nd RC, I could've been more agressive but I would say I was correct to skip the questions. Got 4 correct and 1 incorrect in sentence completion, now I feel much more confident attempting this section because of having a better command of the grammar. Afterboards Topic Test is goldmine for learning the grammar, it has good solutions making it perfect to learn from your mistakes. I didn't need to memorize 120 rules of grammar, I just needed to know the most common concept IPMAT tests and the remaning I'll from attempting more mocks and sectionals. The only problem that I still face would be sentence corrections related to phrasal verbs which is much more vast. Also I'd like to announce that Parajumbles are no longer under the weakness section of my SWOT, probably because I've recently started to attempt more? Not sure.
