Man..... not even JIPMAT?

Gave my first JIPMAT mock today. It's funny, really. Started with VA. Completed it with 140 minutes 10 seconds still left. Went on to LR. Faced a bit of a problem, some really simple things that I could've done well. nevertheless, completed it with 107 and a half minutes remaining.

I had all that time for Quants. Literally more than an hour and a half, but I submitted an hour earlier, because within 40-45 minutes, I was done with what I could've, and just sat there staring at the rest of the questions, thinking that the answers would magically appear or my intution would guide me. Ha! Jokes on me.

If any kind folk chooses to give a few minutes of their time to this post, I'm attaching the other details as well. I have been trying to fix my QA from over a month, and if Im not even able to do well in JIPMAT, i mean what the hell am i expecting from Indore? 80 days.... ah.

If anybody was in such a position, is there something to be done other than go through concept videos -> attempt practice questions -> increase level of difficulty -> analyse sectionals/mocks -> ask doubts.

I am doing that. I'm currently thorough waala thorough with just 7-8 topics outside of Arithmetic (tbh i even need a refresher in Arithmetic). I was a non-maths student, so something what is being taught in the class feels like chinese, but i try. If there is something else to be done, something extra that could help me, please do tell me. I'd eternally be grateful to you. I have literally stopped working on VA and just focus on QA the whole day since a few days, yet unable to improve my performance...

Anyway, feels like such a "woe is me" post.

Thankyou for reading.

Okay i see it.

hands down, your VA is amazing. And so is your LR.

But your QA is shit, but the good thing is you can improve QA. see the advice wont change, you have to do what you gotta do.

wahi sab hai, concept video and practice, the thing is that your qa exposure is minimal.

It does not matter if you were non maths when it comes to jipmat. coz in reality jipmat only tests till class 10 level concepts. and the other concepts if you leave them, it wont matter coz your marks in LR and VA is super crazy. it compensates for QA.

The methods wont change. do the concept videos and then the questions. thats it. follow MBA PATHSAHALA on yt and you will thank yourself. make targets, weekly targets and then improve.

i know people with avg maths and crazy lr and va, just like you. They started thier prep on 1st april, wrote jipmat on 26th.

yes 26 days and are currently in IIMJ.

Again- Avg QA.

so dw, just work.

Yeah, i've heard about Udit sir. The thing is, the lectures on YouTube are sometimes extended more than they should be.. but eh. Beggars can't be choosers, yeah?

Idk whether the 26 day thing is true or not, but it does make me feel better, so thankyou for that.

Maybe I would be relatively better after a month? Hoping.

Also, about LR, toh I was a CLAT aspirant (waha bhi khrab krdiya bhai Tier-3 NLUs mil rahe tabhi i pivoted here), and CLAT mei you get a good practice of LRDI, especially analytical. JIPMAT and Rohtak's LRDI is quite similar to that of CLAT, so i guess i have the advantage of around two months of extra practice. There are no tips, except that expect the unexpected. And syllogism is very easy if you understand the fundamentals of it. Tbh, LR wasn't good either in this mock, but I guess if you want to, you could checkout LRDI or Analytical Reasoning lectures of CLAT ya fir CAT. (Aim for the black hole, land amongst the stars wala scene).

If you need questions from LegalEdge wali book, I could help you with that.

Those are an hour-long topics each. Watch a video, practice 50 questions (its actually not that much, easy aur short hote) for each topic, and with 2 hours per topic (1 hour lecture and 1 hour practice), I think you're good to go.
