I have recently started giving IPMAT mocks (from the last 1–2 weeks) and currently attempt around 2 mocks per week.
I have taken a drop for IPMAT, but this will be my first actual attempt, as I started my serious preparation around October. So far, I have attempted the free mock and the 1st mock of AfterBoards.
In the free mock, I scored around 80, and in the 1st AB mock, I scored 120+. While this jump in score looks positive, it is also making me feel quite anxious and doubtful.
Whenever I get a comparatively good score, I start worrying whether:
Because of this, I constantly feel that I might not actually be improving, and that the higher score is just an illusion created by easier mocks, not genuine progress.
This thought makes me scared instead of confident after every good mock.

Somewhat in the same situation as you my scores are also gradually improving but am not feeling confident enough or satisfied from the results thinking that if it's easy for me it might be easy for everyone and there's very less time left for the actual exam and hence getting demotivated...
You should study the bins given at the bottom of the analysis. Aim to be 1-2 bins right to the peak
This adjusts for the diificulty
Yess, that is something I can do..
TBH, if you are general then not possible. At this stage you are getting only 120 in the first mock while people who aren't even droppers get that in one section (VARC).
What about ews??:)
I believe it's possible.
It's just that you have to be very careful and selective with where you invest your time..
And nevertheless, we still have over 60 days..
People have cracked the exam in less than that.
Yeah like that's the point everyone has there own starting point and no one really knows what's going to happen on the actual exam day all the best buddy!!
You too
no i don't agree with you ...i started with a bare 62 in my first ever mock
I agree with you on this..
Btw, what was your score in your last mock test?
don't remember in absolute numbers but it was a bin ahead
Fr I also got 61 in my first ever mock then am going up by 20 marks every single mock, yesterday I gave mock no.2 it was the third time I was attempting any full mock ever scored 100+ (I know it's less considering it was a relatively easy mock but am happy atleast my scores are not going down...)
Can you share your strategy like how did you improve your quants and varc...??
For QA , since only 2.5months are left start with high weightage topics first and use youtube channels -mba pathshala and rodha ....for VA even i am struggling with it . I am not the right person to be consulted for VARC.
Hey, could you please share how are you covering QA? Like what sources should I use?
i went through all the videos of mba pathshala(udit sir) ......its the best . would highly recommend if you are 2027 aspirant
I am 26 aspirant, I have completed almost all the concepts except geometry. I don't know how to practice them, as my QA scores aren't improving. I am aftb full access, arun Sharma and I am in aceipm
how much are you scoring ? range?
I haven't attempted a sectional or mock recently, because of boards, i am able to cross the topic tests though
How are you revising it? As i am studying new topics,i am forgetting old ones?
I'll not be willing to agree with you, because I started with 100 in my first mock and now I've been scoring around 170s.
hey man, I also scored around 90 in my first mock can you tell your stratergy/what you followed?
okay so when I first started my prep, I knew for a fact that scoring well in VARC could increase your overall score. But in my context, I scored around 50's in the VARC sectionals. So I worked on my comprehension and vocabulary. I had a 3 week daily rc streak, and this has really helped me improve my comprehension. And for vocab, I used vocabulary.com. This has worked so well for me. For quants, I have heard lectures by Rodha. During mocks, I focused on accuracy rather than attempts. And I analyse every mock for 4-5 hours after the exam. MOCK ANALYSIS IS REALLY REALLY IMPORTANT.
