Hey bhavesh bhaiya and afterboards team,
I found something very intriguing and a bit disturbing as well.
Like yesterday I gave my IPMAT INDORE MOCK 5 where i encountered 3-4 questions of probability.
and today when i was practising probability I encountered those same questions in the topic test as well.
So the problem here is that this same thing reduces the efficacy of the mocks.
For example - If i had attempted the topic test the day BEFORE my mock, i would have encountered those ques ,
irrespective of the result , i would have understood the ques.
Now, the very next day when i open my mock , i'll encounter those same question and my brain will shout out of joy that yeahhhhh i know this one , i solved it yesterday , and there is a high chance that the answer is still in my mind , so in that situation my pyschology would not be to treat the question differently but just to answer it and move.
This creates 2 problem :
My learning reduces ; as if the ques were different i would have solved more question.
My mock temperament and strategy falls behind . Imagine if i hadn't solved the ques , there was a high chance that i might haven't got it correct but since i entered the answer, i got +4 and a cosmetic feeling of progressing.

I believe in not bringing that ' nazar element ' into play.
In general , they are more than average.
what do you consider average! , i remember your posts in which you despised va . if your va score has increased then please tell what were you doing these days which has led to the improvement. my average va score in the first 5 mocks is in 80s :(
See, my va scores aren't great as well, they linger around 90 -110 , and you know there is no point being disheartened by the scores.
Maybe this sounds too intellectual but it's actually true.
So like you just need to make one thing sure that you analyse the mock / sectional as deeply as possible . Instead of just looking for the rigth answer , you must extract information from other options as welll .
Here is an illustration to show what i am trying to communicate.
So this was a phrasal verb question, now people will just look for the correct ans, note it down in their vocab list and move on.
This reduces the efficacy of the question, your approach should be to learn what other options mean as well.
There is a high chance that the same thing that u learned here might appear in another mock or maybe the actual exam.
now imagine if you had just glossed over the correct answer and moved ahead, and on the actual exam day the same phrasal verb appear , then what will happen is that you''ll be kicking yourself right there, ahh i saw this one but i dont remember it , so you lose a highly gettable +4.
This is what i had done in the past and it really helped to increase my arsenal.
And ya just don't get disheartened , it's a long way .

Doing 3 rcs, reading editorial and giving/analysing sectionals.
by reading your reply , i can truly say you have improved in va alot , improving va is not an overnight thing but an incremental one !

You've done 79 SA sectionals.
The questions that repeat are the ones you got wrong or left unanswered. If the question is ignored in your 2nd question, you've again left it in the 51st sectional... what does it tell to the algorithm? It tells it that you haven't revised it and that it needs to come again so that you are forced to learn that concept. Once you get it right, it doesn't show up again.
Look at the second question, you left it unanswered the first time... then you got it wrong twice! What signal does it give to the algorithm? It is saying that there is some deficiency in how you analyse/revise your sectional attempts.
I hope this makes sense.
