On another note, how reliably should I guide my prep on the basis of the results of sectionals. I've been scoring decently high in the 40s-60s range and now with the 67 of course. I score about the same range in mocks that I have given recently in AfterBoards but I score barely above 25-30 in quants in my coaching's mocks(IMS💔). I'm kind of confused on what my current level is and how much time I should allocate considering Boards are also coming up. Any advice and/or comments are welcome.

Please take mocks if you are unsure of reliability. If the variance and the mean scores of the last 10 Mock sectionals are (visibly) close to that of your sectionals, then you are good to go. Otherwise treat these sectionals as score maximizing challenge for the first 10-15 of them cuz easy sectionals do come initially, the algorithm doesn't know your weaknesses, just wait for it to identify it then it'll try to cook you.

I had solved double the number of SA sectionals than MCQ cuz of the stress factor I didn't want to deal with everyday for MCQ (lazy thing to do, don't do that lol). As a result the avg SA sectional scores of mine averaged 24ish in the last month, since it understood what to serve me by then. On the other hand I still got 60s in MCQs since I hadn't attempted many of them and it still served me not very laser directed questions like it did in SA.

Same is happening with me

I am also enrolled with ims

And my scores there are very much low as compared to afterboards' mocks

Please if someone can help or have any advice:)

IMS mocks are deliberately made tough - that's their pedagogical approach to prepare you for the worst of the worst low scoring papers, among the top 10 scorers of their all india mocks (1K+ attempts easily) all of us had 210-230ish only, 240+ rarely 3-4 times. AB aims to balance it - you will have to identify the high scoring ones and adapt ur strategy to maximize ur attempts, not just be defensive and skipping qs blindly which is why you will score higher in even the mocks here than in IMS.
