Okay so I have watched and researched tons of videos online for this question, and I am still confused. Whilst some recommend to keep it brief, mentioning only their hometowns annd schools, others recommend listing all your achievements even if it feels like bragging. Truth be told, I have already listed all my achievements in my SOP and interview form, so I feel like I would be going over redundant details. Ughhh im so confused.
If any senior could post their "Tell me about yourself" and give some guidance, I will highly appreciate it!!

Interviews can be scary. It is not. At the end of the day, they're just Indian uncles and aunties: it's like talking to your parents' friends.

There's no one right answer. However, I recommend keeping it short and crisp. Here's the format that many have followed and have gotten in:
Respected Sir/Ma’am, I’m Vidushi Shandilya. I hail from Mumbai, Maharashtra and am from PCM+CS background. I scored 98.6% in 10th with AIR 7. My mother is a professor, and my father is a civil servant who teaches out of passion — so I was scarcely a daughter, mostly a student.
I genuinely appreciated that curiosity-driven environment; it fuelled my academic drive and holistic development.
Leadership and communication have been natural extensions of that — from leading my school as House Captain to chairing international MUNs. Plants are my cherished confidantes, so I founded the first nature club of my school to give back to nature.
Outside structured roles, I enjoy writing poetry and reading — in fact, I was finishing The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy on my way here.
