idk but I just simply square rooted every option and was expecting an option or more to be an integral value and now since none of them gives an integral value I am not sure.
I obviouly also tried by playing with the variables but can't with this one.

In triangle XZR and triangle PZS,
ratio of XZ/PZ = 1/4. Furthermore, both the triangles are similar as angle S and angle R are 90 degrees and angle PZS and angle XZR are equal (vertically opposite). Therefore, RZ/ZS = x/4x. SR = 5x. For area of bigger square, (SR)² = 25x². Therefore, answer has to be a multiple of 25 which will be 175.
This is the answer which I remember was given in the solution. However, I do think that this solution (or the question) is wrong. The reason being if I apply proportionality theorem which states that two transversal lines passing through two parallel lines cut them in same ratio. In simple words, XZ/ZP = XR/RQ which gives x/4x. For area, RQ² = (4x)² = 16x². According to this, area should be a multiple of 16 so answer should be 160.
I'm not sure which solution should be the correct one because of the ambiguity but these are the two approaches.
right answer given is 175
yea, I know. I did report the question but who knows what's the right answer
are you in college? if yes then which one?
I'm a full dropper
Okay, from which coaching are you preparing and is there any source you would recommend for va, qa and lr
I'm not taking any coaching. I did go to CL while I was in 12th but honestly coachings aren't worth it. They only preach "clear cutoff and you're good". Atleast CL was like this. They're only good if you want to clear your base and understand how to approach a question in the first place. For QA I'm following rodha. Lectures are very long but they're extremely detailed. I highly suggest them. For VA, I'm just using books and other sources for vocabulary, daily RC and analyse of mistakes from sectionals and mocks. For LR, I'm just attempting mocks and analysing it. I'm not studying it alag se.
okayy . thank you . even i have been through the same experience
