Doubt in Weekly DILR set

Here,profit percentage is being applied directly to revenue. But ideally shouldn't we first calculate cost then find out the profit here? Also, shouldn't profit margin be mentioned here if we want to directly apply it on revenue. A bit confused with these terms.
