Someone is incorrect, me or the question.

I encountered this question in one of the sectionals. A condition that says, J sits second from one of the extreme ends. I tried a lot and reachead this conclusion that this condtion is unsatiable, henceforth the question is incorrect. Kindly help me out. I would appreciate your efforts and hope I don't embarrass myself.

The question is correct. I also encountered this in a sectional and wasn't able to solve it at all. The mistake I did (and I'm assuming you did as well) was not taking the directions into account. For example, if L faces north then K will be on the right side of the linear table. However, if L faces south then K will be on the left side (still at the right side with respect to L but at the left side of the table with respect to L's position from an aerial view) , which changes the solution entirely. Now this if just for L, you need to take into account directions of all seven people, because of which it becomes hard. * *

so what answer did u get?? (I did take directions into account)

this!

(1) J is at second position from one end

(2) 3 people between J and N, more than 2 people between J and L.

(3) P is not adjacent to K.

Remaining conditions are just with respect to positions.
