both clocks start correct at 10 am monday
one loses 5 minutes every hour
the other gains 5 minutes every hour
so every real hour the difference increases by
5 + 5 = 10 minutes per hour
we want them to be 12 hours apart
12 hours = 12 x 60 = 720 minutes
since the gap grows at 10 minutes per hour
720 / 10 = 72 hours
now convert 72 hours into days
72 / 24 = 3 days
starting from 10 am monday
after 1 day tuesday 10 am
after 2 days wednesday 10 am
after 3 days thursday 10 am
so the clocks will be 12 hours apart at
10 am on thursday
correct answer b 10 am on thursday
thank you!
