just see the word "supposed " they have explicitly mentioned it because it refers to a belief, its like it is generally believed or its expected by the people that male can bring prosperity in the familyy , other options u can eliminate by understanding that they just provided a factual information .in option 3 its there hindu society is paternal in nature , like its a rigid sentence it doesnot give enough information to define the whole social structure of the society
