Percentages theoretical doubt

  1. I don't know what's a theoretical doubt in percentages, would like to know that.
  2. What's a percentage points . Ex: A has 31 more percentage points than A+B? What I am trying to get is how do we come to any conclusion/ equation with this type of sentence in questions.
  3. What's a percentage discount/price/anything that's there. Ex: for X product initial price is 42, discounted price is 38. When they ask percentage discount( we are technically finding percentage change ) so, we first subtract the 2 prices and divide by a NUMBER to find the percentage change, which in this case is percentage discount!.( Is it 38/42) WHAT IS THAT NUMBER IN DIFF CASES IN DISCOUNT/PRICE/ANYTHING?????

It's in Arun sharma LOD2. I was solving them most of the questions I didn't get had these in common!
