acc to the solution provided 1/3rd part of the pole that has been pulled out is 1/3x and not 1/3 of the 4/7x part which doesn't make sense.

I wasted around 10 mins on this in the exam. Just as a last resort, I finally solved it by taking 1/3 of the entire pole and solved it. Doesn't convince me but, well, it's a pyq. There's nothing we can do
