Problem with Topic Tests

1. I would say look at all the mistakes you've done and try to find a pattern in them. It could be related to a concept, or just some silly mistakes. You can use the analysis feature for it. It would be really helpful.

After analysis( if its related to a concept) see some video that explains the basics of the concept. After that start with simple questions especially the one on afterboards after you watch a lecture. However, if its not related to a concept and its a silly mistake pattern or something similar. Ask yourself a question when your finished solving a problem that'll prevent you from making the mistake. For eg, In my case I found that if I took a variable that made solving more convenient ( for eg 3x instead of x), many times I forgot to multiply the value of x by 3 and lost marks. To prevent this i used to ask myself before putting the answer, Is this exact answer that the question is asking?

A quick hack: Even if you're able to clear the level 4, You should deliberately answer wrong and at most answer 2 correct, cuz if you dont then you wont get new questions after you clear the last level.

Heya, I went through this a LOT during my prep as well but ended up scoring pretty decent in ipmat, so, I think that I'm qualified enough to reply to this post :>

So, first things first, level 4 is insanely hard, these are the questions that you would usually skip in the actual ipmat paper, so don't be disheartened.

Now that we have that out of the way, you being able to clear level 3 is a good sign. What i usually did when I was stuck in the same situation was

1. Go through a lot of questions which i previously solved in the same chapter, also go through the questions in level 4 which you got wrong.
2. Revise theory if you feel like you're missing a certain point or the dots aren't connecting.
3. Take a short break, maybe go for a walk to freshen up your mind
4. Lock in and try again, if you're able to clear level 4, congo!! If not then it's fine, try again after you're done with revising the chapter completely at a later point of time.
