Excluding stoppages, the speed of a bus is 60 kmph and
including stoppages, it is 45 kmph. For how many minutes does the
bus stop per hour?
I'm getting 20 minutes but the answer is 15

If the bus goes 60km/hr without stoppage, that means it covers 15km in 15 mins
Now when it goes 45km/hr with stoppage, it means that it stopped the time = the time taken to cover 15km i.e. 15 mins
Hence, the answer is 15 minutes.
okay thanks
Oh okay but could you please tell me why my solution is wrong because essentially we are covering the same distance but now its taking 20 minutes more so the 20 minutes must have gone in all the stoppages right?
