this is a direct identity, if the function is of this form than it becomes a^x
so a^1=2 this implies a is 2 , so a^(-2)= 2^(-2)= 1/4
there are only 4-5 identities in function including this if i am right?
This kind of? yes only 4-5 identities of this type
there are more kind of identities in function?
I dont know what you consider as ''identity''
arre you wrote the term identity at first place , i meant are there more properties/identities /special forms etc in functions
I only know of these 4-5
hello johan,

Pls explain the concept , iam not able to comprehend this one
hallo,
the thing about functions is recognising what values to attempt and know the direction to go in.
here,
we know f(x+y) = f(x) * f(y)
know that since x and y are real, so we can write anything in a manner of a sum or two real numbers.
whats important in this question is recognising that since 1=3-2
we can rewrite f(1) as f(3+ (-2))
as per given equation this is equal to f(3) * f(-2)
finding f(3) is easy, as 3= 2 + 1
and f(2) = f(1)*f(1) = 4
so f(3) = 4*2=8
substituting this into our rewritten form of f(1) -> f(1)=f(-2)*f(3)
we get 2=f(-2)*8
hence f(-2) = 2/8=1/4
hope this helps :)
i hope you know this is a direct identity
yea but OP doesnt, better to explain the solution here than saying "ye le identity kha"
plus it isn't that hard to notice the pattern if you see the solution, but its hard to know the derivation if u just know the identity.
Fair
Haha 😂
Thanks buddy
