Messed up my IPMAT 2026

1. I don’t even know where to start.

I’m an OBC candidate who prepared for IPMAT Indore and Ranchi (didn’t go for Rohtak/JIPMAT). CUET is my backup.

Mocks were going fine. I was consistently scoring around 180, even touched 222 once. I thought I was on track.

But on the actual day… everything just fell apart.

I panicked, messed up my attempts (12/9/34), and walked out not even knowing what my accuracy looks like. Right now, I’m expecting around 160, and I honestly don’t know if that’s enough for Indore.

There’s this tiny bit of hope because I once read about someone converting with 117 marks… but I don’t know if I’m just holding onto false hope at this point.

Academically, I was decent—93.4% in 10th, 94.8% in 12th. Did a few things on the side too—Drona certificate from IIM Indore, SWAYAM course from IIM Bangalore in Financial Accounting.

But none of that feels like it matters right now.

Everything was going smoothly till boards. After that, it’s like nothing has gone my way. I’ve put in 400+ hours on AfterBoards—lectures, vocab, idioms, quants… gave it everything I had this past year.

And now it just feels like… what was the point?

Past 2-3 days was just horrible for me as I have started demeaning myself which I never ever used to doo with myself even in worst cases...

I keep getting stuck on one thought… if I couldn’t compete with 30,000 students, how am I supposed to compete with lakhs of aspirants further...It feels like real hell right now....😞

It was everything for me from past 1-2 years..

And right now, it feels like I might lose it all because of one bad day.

Do I really have a chance for Indore ?
