imo, hit & trial might be an easier method for this question.
take some small integer values of a, b, & c and then solve the question by putting the values
best value would be a = 1, b = -1 & c = 0
first fraction = 1/2, second fraction = 1/2 & third fraction = 0 (c=0)
therefore, sum is 1
