Dear Bhavesh Bhaiya, Vani Didi, peers and seniors, I'm seeking your advice on three critical areas:
topic prioritization, the OBC-NCL category advantage, and My Boards vs. Entrances Dilemma !!
To ensure clarity and completeness, I've compiled my queries into a single, well-structured document.
You can access the full document here:

Okay, well written. Here's a concise answer:
Syllabus & High Priority Chapters:
You can see the syllabus (+ frequency of the topic being tested) for each of the exams here: https://www.afterboards.in/ipmat-jipmat-past-year-questions
However, you MUST do the basics of all chapters. What if a very simple question of binomial theorem comes in IPMAT Indore... but you left it and you (say) missed the cutoff by 4 marks. Would that not irk you?
Watch this too: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Cmk5NAQ9jEM (see it entirely, very good gyan in the last 15 seconds).
OBC-NCL:
Don't overthink. Use OBC-NCL. Aim to still maximise your marks. Don't get complacent. Aim to be in the top 70 students.B You'll get admission through the open-category then.
Read this (how does reservation works): https://www.reddit.com/r/IPMATtards/comments/1m65hd8/comment/n4heh5n/
2350 NC-OBC applicants were there in IPMAT 2025, 245 qualified (10.4%)
12132 general applicants were there in IPMAT 2025, 301 qualified (2.1%)
I hope this makes sense.
Balancing Boards & IPMAT:
You're not a second-grader jiske liye schedule banana padega. There is no rigid one-size fits all approach plan! Plus, know that 'syllabus completion' is a myth, you'll be always revising and repeating to become more accurate and quicker. You doing number systems before doing modern math isn't going to cause a problem. You not doing Arun Sharma or WPME isn't going to be a problem (if you do something alternative/equivalent/better).
Additionally, you obviously have to devote more time to school when you might have exams/boards nearby, when there's less school-load, then you can devote more time to IPMAT.
There is no magical method to make you get more time in a day -- you are also smart enough to know that. You cannot give 100% to both -- boards & IPMAT at the same time. You'll have to be flexible, so do 1000s of other students.
Do you know how much free time exists? Yes.
Do you know what distracts you and what takes up duplicated effort? Yes.
Do you know the syllabus? Yes.
Do you know where to study? Yes.
Do you know where to practice questions from? Yes.
Let's get it.
