How to justify a drop year?

In the interview, I'd justify it by saying:

Yes, sir/ma'am. Since almost 10%-30% of the IPM batch consisted of droppers, I received the courage to do it and the data to convince my parents. I believe that one year of investment is worth the IIM launchpad. This gap year has made me appreciate my schooling and helped me develop mentally. I have BBA-DBE as a safety/back-up.
