I want your help

Okay hi everyone I know this is of topic and I am just coming on someone question but I just need some urgent advise so I am a very average student but from very beginning I just new I want to do something from maths because I like maths and I like problems solving and leadership and all so I blindly to PCM and went to the most known route J and you it was not simple but it was just most known to 16 year old Aparna but Sona started to suffer because I hate science and still I had the audacity to choose Physics in chemistry it was just really brilliant of me I can say like even in 10th I was scared of science but I the only options I had was PCM or PCB parents so I opt for my love and fell into the depth of depression and started asking myself various things like who am I what am I doing why did I did this I drop coaching and after mid 11th failed in almost Physics in chemistry get into 12th and the fear was insane I did not take attempt one exam in 12th my attendance was afford I had to pay fine and all in order to even have my preboard and tomorrow is my keyboard now I just want to have 60% at least in my boats my maths is good and I am not kidding I just charge if it this this is what I like suggest an exam for me and the first exam was ipmat Till they are not even heard about this and I don't even care if I clear it or not because at least this exam will give me a direction help me fall in love with maths again give me a purpose and also with this I have picked up my few hobbies again like content creation which I had like 300 subscribers when I deleted my YouTube channel out of spite in 11th which I put my 3 years of hard work in but that's another day story I know maybe it's too late but someday I have to just start so why not right now I am just starting to prepare for my boards I am just doing simple NCERT because I don't have much time left I am preparing more for like English and phe to score 90 plus( I like already have covered syllabus in June something because these are the only to subject that I could study without getting a headache )and just want to pass chem phy and maths i will score decent i know even if I pass boards I will be thankful to God because honestly there are no signs right now I am just hoping like I just want to live again like back in the days when in 10th I used to enjoy studies enjoy the rigour enjoy giving exams i just want my life back but I can't I know that I cannot go back in pass but I can be impresent so I am trying to rebuilt my life trying to wake up early eat good be present in movement do my task and I am starting this exam preparation for IP mate just because I want some direction and I just want to give life another short( 😭) and all the topics really interest me like these are the things that I really will I want to study I have looked into IPM program and it allines with my goals and future and my interest so I am really giving it a short I know it is competitive but I just want to try so if any of you have tips to wear I can look for letters I am not buying any bad as much as I want to because that I have bought like 3 batches in the past 2 years and I am not study leave in one lecture from them maybe in my I will buy mocks but right now I need to just complete you know topic lectures so if any of you can guide in how much time I should start or cover my lectures where I can get the best lectures free on YouTube and free questions and resources and when should I start appearing for marks and the PI I don't even think I will to make it that but please some advise

Heyy bro!! I do understand your situation and the pressure I myself gave 2 years to ipmat with soo much family problems and was unable to clear the cut offs, so I do have my advice for you-

Firstly don't study with the negative motivation like oh I don't have any other option now,what if I can't and blah blah

It's okayyy take a deep breath and focus on your goal with peace ,do your best and the rest will follow

Then organise your resources, you've taken batches online but you don't need a lot,there are soo many platforms offering services but you can't do all of that naa, choose the ones that you know are compatible with you and prepare from there only

My younger sister is also in 12th with PCM she has purchased pw batch and also studies from YouTube I don't know alot about that but rakshak sir is so og, watch lectures on YouTube and do practice sample papers

Solve as much as you can in practical subject, don't overwhelm yourself but yes practice does makes you better

Maths is your strength so it'll definitely help you for ipmat keep your daily target like 50 questions prr subject or however you like it and complete that daily

+Give daily RC on afterboards weekly sectionals and DILR

And lastly, it's totally fine, you're doing soo good bro, it's great to hear you're giving time to do something for yourself!!

Failing an exam is definitely not the end of life I can tell you for sure there's a lot out there trust me

Also, for now focus mainly on boards and if you are so confident youu want too go in IIM soo bad then give all of it for ipmat,and at some point if you feel like you can't there's a lot,then remember again it's not the end ,you've come so far and you're proud of yourself. I know you can do it, the afterboards community trust youu ✨✨

Hey !

Soo i can see that the past 2 years have been hard, and it might all feel a little suffocating as of now, but trust me it is possible to declutter a lot of these things.

I was in a similar place last year, i had 30% in my preboards, skipped most of my school examinations, but then i just realized that i could not live like this and gave it my all. I scored 95.8% in boards with 1-2 months of prep ( as a commerce student ) and i am in a good reptuted college.

My simple advice would be to not overcomplicate things too much, and more importantly believe in yourself.

Boards preparation is very important and i believe it even supersedes IPMAT preparation, so dont not give up on preparing for boards, i know you might not enjoy the subjects but boards marks play a decent role everywhere noawadays.

Make your strengths stronger, and let english + PHE carry your overall marks as much as they can, even try to score atleast above 95 in both.

and do give boards prep the time.

For IPMAT preparation

Let me break it down a little

  1. Quants Lectures

a) Algebra + Modern Maths --> Unacademy Lectures esepcially NV sir oneshots and even Arvind Kalia sir teaches quite well

b) Geometry + Number System + Arithmetic --> You can refer to channels like Aptify, MBA Pathshala, Mathological according to which fulfills your need the best

  1. Quants Practice

Solve all IPMAT PYQs there exists

and there is a website called 2IIM, they have a lot of CAT PYQs and a lot of good practice questions aswell

and even websites like Cracku had some good questions

If you have the money for it, i would recommend getting afterboards mocks + Limited no of sectionals offer as it is cheaper aswell

and give QA sectionals and full mocks on a regular basis and keep analyzing them and practicing

and if you do choose to buy that, you can also refer to lectures on afterboarda as they are pretty well made too.

For VA

I would just make your whole life about english

Talk in english, Watch movies & web series in english in your break times, Give a Daily RC on afterboards ( its free ) and read articles online as they can help you create a good base

Other than this solve IPMAT PYQs for all sorts of topics.

Again if you do plan on buying afterboards, give VA sectionals, give the topic tests and solve the daily RCs which you have left

Other than this you also have to just keep giving mocks and build up the stamina

Most important is to just keep being consistent and keep believing in yourself and be confident in your preparation. These few months can truly change your life around and you have to give your best

Not even my parents believe in me like after baords community i am rebuilding myself slowly rn

My strategy is to score full (at least give 100 percent) in eng and phe and maths also i will score like 60+ and chem 50+ and physics mai bhagwan bacha le 😭 i am scared

For ipmat i am just each day slowly watching i lecture per day using along with baords

I read books newspaper and also write on linkdin till boards i will focus on 12 only and from 15 march full focus on ipmat

Hey there

It's fine, life don't always go the way we want it to, still you have time . It's good that you figured out this early, IPMAT does have maths , but it's called quantitative aptitude for a reason, not your typical jee maths ( tho some portion of IPMAT is similar) ,but in general it's different. If you need free resources, I would suggest you to check the given document, all the free resources are listed here,

-Also you can start attempting mocks even when your 60-70% syllabus is complete, don't wait for the whole syllabus to end!
