Weekly IPMAT Mock | Mock 12

1. SA:- 24/60. Above the peak. I was very worried about this section, because there were multiple question where I could've easily made silly error. I ended up making just half the silly mistakes. Similarly, I ended up getting a tukka correct (Centroid of triangle question). This section along with MCQ was filled with trap questions, looks easy enough on the surface but only when you are deep into solving it you realize the difficulty. In a question (Q6) I ended up getting the correct value of k, but for any real value of y I couldn't find the least value of k/4y + y. k was 4, so basically I had to minimize 1/y + y. I forgot how to solve these type of questions and bam all the tedious effort of solving for k for nothing.

2. MCQ:- 30/120. Just above the peak. Similar to SA, lots of trap questions. I ended up wasting 10-13 minutes on questions I did not attempt. Question picking could've been better. The DI set was graph type question, I did not have practice of this specific type of set so I couldn't solve it. I did, however, solve 2 easy questions from the set. I need time to analyze this section.
3. VA:- 140/180. Above the peak. I ended up attempting all the question. I was guided soely by intuition when solving the non-rc/pj questions, this time because the section was eaiser I ended up performing good. Though, I'd still benefit greatly from learning the rules of grammar, idioms and phrasal verbs because 'intution' cannot always be relied on (scored only 96 last mock.)

I'm still covering some important chapters Probability, Logarithm, Matrices and Trigonometry is still left. But looking back at some of the questions, I'd benefit greatly from more frequent revisions and also DILR!
