I am preparing for ipmat and boards, i need to put in long hours to cover the content, but after 2-3 hours i just can't work. I do try all sorts of things to try to work longer but i just engage something else that is unproductive. Even if i sit there try to do work i just overthink or just don't get shit done. If you have gone through the same thing please help. I feel awful at the end of the day i am in dummy so i stay at home and feel bad, even though i have so much time and all the resources at my disposal and i know what to do, i am just not able to do it.

Heya, I'm in college and lemme tell you, it only gets more hectic, assignments, tests, projects, competitions, so much stuff clashes. I've been where you are when I was studying for the exams, and the only way is to create an environment where you thrive. You do that by eliminating distractions and by engaging in what you do with heart. I used to get distracted by opening insta and stuff, I then got an app blocker that used to block the app till like 11pm, then one hour, I used to take a break and then it would be blocked again till 11pm next day. I also used to listen to a lot of music while solving questions, vibe karte karte ho jaata tha, maza aati thi. If I ever wanted to take a break, I'd get on these doubt forums/whatsapp doubt groups and take a look there, help out others, learn/revise new stuff that way, it also helped kill time and was somewhat productive. I also used a lot of afterboards flashcards to improve vocab, so sometimes id just take a walk and have them open on my phone, doing while taking a stroll. These little things add on to the overall productivity and eliminating distractions is a must, you just gotta take that step. Hope this helps!
Thanks, would try blockers.
