If you're planning to read for the sake of reading (personality development) and not specifically for grammar/vocabulary, find. your. interests.
If you've never read much, start with Enid Blyton. If you've read before and want something more theoritical that forces you to think (and it's hard to digest), look at the popular books on Philosophy: Albert Camus, Marcus Aurelius and more.
If this isn't your cup of tea, look at more academic books like Tirthak Shah's Flawed Prophets or even Dr. Prateek Raj's Atypical.
Regardless, this is just a stepping stone. Find your own niche!
