Weekly IPMAT Mock | Mock 13

1. SA:- 16/60, on the peak score. The section felt like a personal attack lol, there were lots of difficult questions and questions from topic I haven't touched (trigo and modern maths) there were 5-6 questions I didn't even know proper concepts of, and in topics I am relatively. I also misinterpreted a question from times and work and got it wrong. I haven't properly analyzed each question, but I believe this attempt has lots of lessons to teach me.

2. MCQ:- 47/120, Above peak score ~35. DI set saved me, but I took ~9 minutes to solve DI set and I didn't even properly solve it. I had been reluctant to practice DI sets but from the looks of things, I would benefit from practice DI. It can save the attempt in case rest of mcq doesn't go well. Got one MCQ incorrect, I made an error while solving the question. A lot of questions were doable but I wasn't able to solve them during the attempt.
3. VA:- 96/180, above the peak around ~75. Negative marking of around -12. My philosophy while solving VA is to attempt as many questions I can with even a little bit of confidence (more conservative with PJ's). This has the downside of giving volatile results, last mock I was 28th of 533 in VA this time I'm 185th of 545. I have seen a pattern however, whenever the VA section is difficult overattempting can be punishing while on the opposite in easy mock overattempting can be score booster (last mock for instance). Regardless, I have been not focussing too much on VA, which is shame because VA has significant weightage. I do Anki flashcards but even then I can be inconsistent at times. I don't put much dedicated effort for VA, I believe, however, that I can benefit from practice esspecially when it comes to- idioms and phrasal verbs, sentence completion and grammar rules and obviously PJ's. I have not been giving daily RC's, but from now on I'd give the daily RC, and also be consistent with 1 to 2 VA Sectionals. I'd also watch videos to learn the grammar better.
