Hi all,
This post will be a reality check for all those who believe luck doesn't matter.
Here I am after two years of hard work.
I missed IIM Rohtak by 3 marks, IIM Indore VARC by 6 marks, and got waitlisted at IIM Shillong and IIM Ranchi, which I already know are probably not going to get cleared.
I got 89.4% in Class 12, and you know what? Do you know how it feels when even the rechecking portal never opens? Isn't that just hard luck? Now I have to give an improvement exam for just 3 marks to make it a perfect 90 so I can at least have a better profile for CAT.
And today, my last hope, SSCBS, was ruined in the same way as the others. I missed the cutoff by 9 marks, and that's not even my fault. I lost around 70 marks because of normalization. Okay, I know this might sound like an excuse, and maybe it is.
But all this after 100+ Quant sectionals, 90+ Verbal sectionals, 60 mocks and solving everything from R.S. Aggarwal to Arun Sharma, and practicing so many questions that I don't even know the count anymore.
Isn't that hard work?
And if you're expecting me to become a motivational speaker and tell you what I learned from all this, I'm not going to do that. Some things are just meant to be like this.
Okay, so what's next?
I'm going to Sri Venkateswara College for B.Sc. Statistics (which wasn't even my first choice). But beggars can't be choosers, so here I am.
This is all from my side—a little reality check that not every time things go in your favour. Sometimes, all you can do is wait, and nothing else.

hey , i know words don't heal but i hope they uplift you and i can't imagine the pain you went through , but its life that's how it goes sometimes .. it hurts but we can't do anything .. just accept , but don't consider yourself a failure , you tried , you learned so many things , you became a stronger version of yourself .. don't downgrade yourself i believe there is so muc more to life and you sure are a warrior , i am super proud of you i really am , all the very best , god bless you <3

Because I am from vadodara and we don't have a single good college in the city. (Like the opts available in metross).
So I had to move to another city and nirma was the best option I had
Also I dont wanted to stay in my hometown i wanted to move out soo......
Other option was nmims mumbai bba. But vaha pe toh kyu hi jaauuu fees and all is too highhh

Congrats bro mai bhi hota wahan but as i am not from gurjrat and nirma don't have boys hostel so accommodation ke sath bohat mehnga pad raha tha and even i have scholorship but thats not for private colleges so unfortunately 🥲

No knowledge is wasted, everything learnt in the course of your prep (the 200+ sectionals, the 5000+ questions and what not) will help you in some way or the other. I promise you that.
Plus, given the high WL movement of DU, I am very sure that you'll be climbing up the preference list too.
At the end of the day, Venky is a fantastic college. Know that it's all about what you do at Venky which will matter the most.
I see your 295 days of learning, I promise you, you'll do amazing such that degree becomes the least interesting thing in your life.
