Okay boys and girls, let's be real. This is what I scored:
32/24/118.
Now, I am cognizant that there's a very slim chance that I may get the interview call, and even if I do, no way I am getting selected with this score. I have done my fair share of crying-over-what's-done today, and I don't plan on doing this any further. So, I am going to elaborate my situation as much as I can, and seniors and all my astute compadres, please help me navigate through this.
अब रायता फेलया है तो समेटना भी पड़ेगा ।
Profile: general male, 10th 91%, 12th (PCM) 80%, no ECAs at all, and to top it off, YES a dropper. (and of course, a 6ft feminist) sorry humour is my cope.
I've filled out almost all the forms related to IPM, all the IIMs, TAPMI, Nirma, Nalsar, etc.
I am expecting a decent score in IPMAT-Rohtak, but again, the paper was so easy anything can happen, and my past acads are not too shiny for Rohtak.
I have filled out CUET as well, it's on 20th. Subjects: GAT, english, maths, PhE. (because it's easy). I had no intention of filling CUET out, I just did it cuz why not. Now the situation is that I do not have a hold on my 12th maths because I am a dropper, and I honestly don't know how well I'll perform in CUET. Also, in CUET I don't have much options other than the good ones, but they are all too competitive.
Finances are a big issue for me-- LIKE A BIG ONE. (I'll have to totally rely on a student loan)
Now, I don't know what to do, where to go from here. Today's score honestly came as a shocker to me because I was doing really well in mocks. But, I don't wanna cry about it anymore, I need genuine, SOLID advice.
Thanks.

I see that there has been a misunderstanding, YES I am a male, boy, man, XY chromosomed homo-sapien, stop commenting about your heartbreak regarding this news 😭 and please comment something useful if you can add.
(I have long hair irl, that's why this avatar)
Idt very useful (still recovering from the heartbreak) par you have some time before CUET bhai, prep and give it your best.
Itne IPM colleges bhare hain, your score isn't bad so you might have a chance with decent interview, if finances are an issue and you'd rather not spend a lot of an undergrad degree can go the CAT route after du
I see, but with my choice of subjects for CUET, I don't have a lot of options
Jaan jhok do BBA ho sakta hai
Field hi badalni ho toh law/journalism.../j

DUDEEE!! You're a DUDE!?
i feel like i've been cheated [YOU'RE a GUYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????]
Well yeah, but that's not what we're discussing here😭😭😭, and why are y'all shocked, I never mentioned I was a girl, plus I chose this avtar because I liked it 😭😭
Right now, the biggest mistake would be mentally concluding that everything depends on Indore. It doesn’t. You’ve already filled out forms for multiple colleges; CUET is still left. Rohtak, especially, is a very different paper where execution and calmness matter more than depth.
For CUET, don’t assume you are doomed because of maths rustiness. You still have time to revise NCERT-level concepts and improve significantly, especially since you already have a PCM background. And since finances are an important factor for you, CUET absolutely should be taken seriously because DU and other colleges can genuinely become strong opportunities.
Also, please don’t think that “dropper + average profile + bad one exam” automatically ends things. Interviews and admissions are much more holistic than people online sometimes make them sound. If you perform well in the remaining exams, the narrative changes very quickly.
Right now, your focus should be:
You do not need a miracle right now. You just need one or two exams to go well. And that is still very much possible.
thanks you so much!!
I think you have a decent chance at ranchi , might as well apply to Shillong and hope for the best
If finances are a huge issue, you should have prepared for CUET all along. baby IIMs will be a real pain if relying on a student loan
well, I didn't (sigh), now what can I do?
I'm not the most helpful person rn but I suggest partial drop along with IIMB BBA-DBE
Why did I think you were a girl
it's 2026, and that's offensive

Wait you not a girl????
Dekhaaa I wasn't the only one

Focus on CUET, aim to get SRCC/CBS/etc.
That's the best outcome currently!
I am not eligible for many colleges in the commerce domain. Also, I chose only math+PhE as my domain subjects in CUET
also, my math is not at all polished (I scored low in boards) and the exam is on 20th
Why? Having Math makes you eligible for all, right? What's your stream?
PCM
and again, I only chose PhE + math + GAT + Eng for cuet
