Should i consider this score good or decent ?Can anyone please guide cuz i am not sure abt the mock's diffulty level with respect to ipmat.I have given many various other mocks of differnet coaching instiutes(IMS and CL,and considerable amt of mocks of each institute) and the mocks that they had were more difficult. So can anyone help regarding this? Also what do you all think abt IPMAT PYQ 2023,i managed to score 201 on it,but i still think it was not up to the mark and that anyone who is currently preparing for ipmat will easily score that.

Answered in an extremely detailed fashion here: https://www.afterboards.in/forums/afterboards/platform/Ia4Ewg_guide_is_my_ipmat_indore_mock_score_good
Also, every mock is built different. You've attempted only 4 mocks of AfterBoards:
Good job on scoring 201 in IPMAT Indore 2023, people lower than that (being a general candidate) have also received admission. With 5 months left, you'll do well! Be content but not complacent.
I wouldn't want you to paint yourself as a martyr (even if it is not the intention). Do you really believe that "anyone who is currently preparing for IPMAT will easily score that"? I'm sure you're good at LRDI. Take this information:
Yeah,you are right ,thanks
Also, attempt the PYQs on our platform. It'll build your SWOT analysis and show the subtopics where you need to put more time!
I think 276 students you are referring to, are the ones who have cleared all the 3 sectional cutoffs
But, there are many who score around 100 in qa but 80 in va!
OP's point was:
I wanted to share that not everyone who is preparing will score 201 marks in IPMAT Indore 2023. 201 is a kickass/amazing score to have.
The measure shared was the number of people who secured 12/39/125 (total: 176). I would bet that it is a close-enough number to the number of people who scored 200+ (no sectional constraints).
Here are the numbers with the 2025 exam (from the submitted response sheets):
~130 people got above 200 marks in our list.
Out of them, ~30 didn't qualify sectional cutoff.
Will do that for sure.
But doesn't it get hard for the ones who clear the cut-offs by a low margin , increasing pressure on them for the interview round??
Do they have to give a stellar PI to get final call ??
Like 700-800 total candidates make it to the interview and there almost only 50 seats for general category, so they have be top 50 out of 700-800 in the PI round where the ones above already have some edge ?? Am I missing something?
Yes, the probability increases as you score more marks. That is made evident by the admissions matrix. Hence, we always say that there is no "good score" per se. We have to maximise our scores.
There were 12,132 general candidates who got a positive score in each section.
301 cleared the cutoff. The WL went till ~70 in 2025.
So, it's not top 50 out of 700-800 (6.66%), it is top 70 out of 300 (~23%).
Note: Yes, there is no reservation for "general", it's unreserved seats. However, only 3-4 out of ~70 have a reservation certificate.
So the more we maximize the written exam score , the lesser is the pressure during the interview round?? And we should preferably be in top 50-70 so that we just have to hold our position during the interview ?
Not necessarily though. Pressure exists regardless when you know that 260 marks ke baad bhi reject hue hai log. The objective is to perform the best regardless of having 1 mark more than cutoff or 70 marks more than the cutoff.
Interview is a veto-round.
Okay, got that, thanks
