After the exam was conducted, a lot of students shared that the paper was harder than last year... QA was a bloodbath and more.
Now that we have 2000 response sheets, I do not know what to believe.
JIPMAT 2024 (n=1253)
JIPMAT 2025 (n=2000)
The paper seems to be more high-scoring ironically. It could also be that JIPMAT as an exam is now being taken very seriously + LRDI was extremely easy (a lot of you have full marks).
Cutoff Prediction?
Honestly, it boils down to the volatility of the WL movement. If more toppers leave the colleges offered by JIPMAT because they join IIM-K/S/B (last year, there was still skepticism owing it to be the first batch) or go to IIM-L/M (all these new courses)... then then student below them will get a chance.
It's hard to predict this volatility. In 2021/22, if it was (say) Symbiosis vs IIM-BG... almost everyone would go to the private college. Now, the perception has shifted. So, we do not really know what kind of choices people will make.
Jammu's Case
30% weightage is given to boards, they also shared that boards % will be converted into the 15 and 15 points in a pro-rata fashion (which means linear).
Note: No gender diversity points (or) SNG seats.
e.g. 95% in 10th would be 15*95/100 = 14.25 points.
So 1% more in boards is worth about 0.21 percentile points (one board component).
Percentile is not linear. A 1%ile jump at 94%ile–95%ile is not the same as a 1%ile jump at 97.5%ile–98.5%ile. That is why, in a range like 285–310, board marks can seriously make or break your interview call.
| Case | JIPMAT | Class 10 | Class 12 | Composite /100 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strong boards, lower %ile | 266 marks, 93%ile → 65.10/70 | 95% → 14.25/15 | 97% → 14.55/15 | 93.90 |
| Decent boards, mid %ile | 278 marks, 95%ile → 66.50/70 | 90% → 13.50/15 | 85% → 12.75/15 | 92.75 |
| Weak boards, very high %ile | 323 marks, 99%ile → 69.30/70 | 75% → 11.25/15 | 85% → 12.75/15 | 93.30 |
(Marks to percentile data -- taken from JIPMAT 2025).
So the 93%iler, despite scoring 57 marks less than the 99%iler, still ends up 0.60 points ahead because of stronger board marks.
This is assuming that there is no normalisation across boards by IIM Jammu.
You'll see a bloodbath here, board marks will determine a lot for IIM-J... which means... IIM-BG cutoffs could also increase because the people who COULD have gone to IIM Jammu in the previous years... are not getting a call from Jammu now.
God bless.
Anyways, that's all from our side.
We shall be refraining from sharing specific numbers or target scores because it's such a mess + anything can happen.
I wish I could give you a number but I do not feel confident + I don't want to randomly shoot a number in the dark.
All I can say is -- if you scored low in JIPMAT but have fantastic board marks, Jammu could just be your saving grace.

tldr: idk man ts crazy goodluck yall

[deleted]
All the best!
What's your score ?
Bhaiya please reply my breath on stake don't say yes no possibility batado
318 for bodhgaya gen male
Plus 97 for lrdi will i be able to make sectional cutoff there for now ab and ace ipm I have around 55 percentile
Bg to ho jaana chahiye
As per you, what do you think is the possibility with a 318 for IIM-BG?
Honestly I think it's 50-50
😭😭
Okay, why do you think it is 50/50 when you're clearing sectional cutoffs and have a high score?
See first of all it comes from a negative guy so ya baaki
85 was cutoff for lrdi last year this year paper was easy so don't know what would happen there (I got 97)
Now big part paper's curve on the right so there can be increase of 20 -25 marks to the cutoff so 318 is in that range only plus the movement of merit list is unpredictable like there would be some people above me jinka indore and rohtak ka interview hain agar they get selected there I am safe and hypothetically if max of them get failed there I am screwed .
Boards mai I have ,82,83 so jammu mai toh no chance
Baaki yes I am still happy for 318😭
with 97.8 in 10th, worst case atleast jammu toh mil jaana chahiye next year 💔.
Jipmat 304, general male
10th 97.4
12th 96.75
304, general male
10th 97.4
12th 96.75
272/400 gen female,
96% in 10th
81% in 12th
Are there any chances ?
Bhaiya i scored 182 nc obc
bhaiya i am thinking to take drop how can i upgrade it to drop
If you're sure of the gap-year, we'll launch extension plans by the end of this month (max).
okay thanks
do you know what the composite score for the lowest admit in iim jammu was last year?
IIM Jammu didn't follow this system last year, it was purely based on JIPMAT scores.
okay bhaiya please read this also
I scored 182 marks in JIPMAT (NC-OBC category), and unfortunately, I messed up my IPMAT as well. My academic profile is not very strong either — I scored 60% in Class 10 and 75% in Class 12 (Commerce with Maths).
At this point, CAT doesn't seem like the right path for me. I'm considering taking a partial drop: joining a dummy BBA college, preparing seriously for IPMAT with aceipm with afterboards, and giving it one more attempt next year.
If I still don't make it to an IIM next year, I plan to focus on CFA and build my career through that route.
However, I have a few concerns:
Given my situation
I'd really appreciate honest advice and suggestions
Hi Bhavesh,
My daughter score is:
JIPMAT 276
10th 94.2%
12th all subjects 93.5%, best five 95.6%
OBC
Will she get IIM Jammu
High chances -- however, it is subjective to all the factors/variables described above!
replied to the parent outta everyone 💔
bhaiya amritsar and IIMK interviews clashing
have mailed amritsar twice, still no reply
WHAT DO WE DO NOW??
How did u calculate jipmat score in terms of percentile and out of 70? Like in the case of 278 marks u gave it 95% ile and 66.10/70. How is this calculated?
(Marks to percentile data -- taken from JIPMAT 2025)
We used last year's data!
Is it possible that bg cutoff is around 260/265
308 marks
93/82 boards
How you convert raw score to out of 70
You can't -- we don't know the percentile yet.
211 JIPMAT
80.83 IN 10TH
81.6 IN 12TH
Same score
Please help me
I am dropper, general, male and I have scored 344 in jipmat
Percentage
93.6 in 12th
And 87 in 10th
Do you think bhaiya that I would be able to get IIM jammu
344 is crazy good, ho jana chahiye
It doesn't matter if the marks are 344 because the percentile difference is minor.
The 10th/12th make it a bit dicey because there would be 100+ people with 93%ile+ in 10th & 12th and that puts him at a disadvantage of at least 6% in boards =~1.2%ile in JIPMAT...
It all depends on how much others have scored in boards.
Ok bhaiya

We would not be able to give you a "yes/no" answer if you tell us your marks/grades. There are a LOT of variables involved. To use proxies (not fully accurate), you can refer to previous year cutoffs (but only for BG, not for Jammu): https://www.afterboards.in/ipmat-jipmat-cutoff?college=iim-bodhgaya
Jipmat-286
10th-94
12th-89
Can you check jipmat ka LCM wala question , I think it is wrong, it did not mention ordered so answer should be 1 only. Please check if you can
I got 186 obc
10th-83%
12th-70% I don't think there are any chances
But bhaiya can you atleast tell chances
On what basis? I've explained the variables/factors affecting this, right?
JIPMAT - x
Xth - y
XIIth - Z
what are my chances🥺
will IIM Jammu call me?
just say yes/no 1 second answer only bhaiya🥺
Bhaiya will afterboards be filing objections :(
Bhaiya plz Raise Objection For VA "Typical" Question
JIPMAT - 260
90/80 in 10th and 12th , category is EWS
