Question might sound cliché, but atp is it actually worth it?
Given that I'm applying only to these:
Indore
Shillong
Ranchi
Rohtak
+JIPMAT
IIM-K
CUET
IIM-B (bsc+bba.dbe)
And got into Christ but didn't take it (Phase 1)
Now, the concern comes here-
Seeing all those MU ads, it really feels a place to be (UG-TBM). Then I open reddit (+ LinkedIn asw), and ahahaha, all the debate about MU, no idea whom to believe.
Plus it does not give a real degree.
That might cause a problem in masters (except for ISB I belive, but yet so, if I study further so)
Plus heavy fees 😔
So if those cons and pros gina dete?

Don't listen to reddit masses about things they can't afford either intellectually or financially. Skepticism about new things will always be there no matter how good they are esp if it's exclusive.
It's a great initiative if u can afford it and if u have that streak where u wanna create things end to end urself than be a cog in the wheel like we b-school guys will end up as. The marketing is too smug ik and so r the ppl, so if u plan to be another avg MU guy launching dropshipping business with ur dad's money and call urself CEO then MU wont add value to urself. If u have clarity and specific hard skills and can think about one or two business ideas with 2hrs of thinking (which means u r engaged with ur surroundings and r observant abt needs and gaps of services and products) u should apply to MU.
If the fees were even slightly justifiable, I would have been there today regardless of my ipmat rank, it was precisely the kind of stuff I would do well in instead of cramming slides to beat the curve.
But then it does have an incompatible academic syllabus as well, afaik its affiliated to DU, which is like the CBSE of UG, u can't think of innovation and entrepreneurship when studying DU content.
That does clear the clouds in my mind.

i too applied to mu as my backup, and i agree that the fees is quite high but it all depends on whether you're gonna be able to make the most of it. plus i think it's about to become a legit pvt university if you're concerned abt the degree aspect.
also for the fees thing- i got a 20% scholarship which makes it slightly less exorbitant. it depends a lot on whether you're willing to pay that much for a ug degree but the environment was amazing when i went for a tour.

To add to this: It gives a real degree (through DU SOL). IIM Indore similarly gave an IGNOU degree until 2017 for IPM. It is a real, accredited degree.
If the Govt. of India allowed any institution with such a different curriculum to give out degrees nilly-willy, boht problems hoga. We need to be patient with new-age institutions before they're given the rights to issue their own degree. Right now, MU has gotten the green-signal from the Haryana Govt. and will be issuing their own degrees from next year afaik.
You can appear for IAS, do a Ph.D, write CAT and get into an MBA programme etc. You can use the DU SOL in any way possible and you don't have any disadvantages wrt the eligibility.
